Safety & data
What we check, and what we refuse to sell.
Two questions decide most of what we build: who is driving, and who gets to see where you went. The first has a verification answer. The second has a commercial one, and we answered it years ago.
Who is driving
Every driver on Aero Squad clears full KYC before taking a first institutional trip: Aadhaar, driving licence and vehicle registration, verified and held against the driver record. Documents are re-checked when they expire, so a driver on the route today is a driver on the record today — not one who cleared a check two years ago.
| Identity | Aadhaar, verified before the first institutional trip |
|---|---|
| Licence | Driving licence checked against the driver record |
| Vehicle | Registration checked and tied to the driver |
| Re-verification | Documents re-checked on expiry, not once at signup |
| Record | Held for audit by the institution running the route |
While the trip runs
Live position is streamed to the people waiting rather than held in a back office. On an institutional route that means the parent, the ward desk or the office manager sees the same position the operator sees, without asking for it.
On the public Aero network you can share a trip in progress with anyone you choose. They do not need an account, an app or a login to watch it.
Proving the arrival
Gate-Seal issues a code at the gate that changes on a timer. Because it rotates, it cannot be guessed ahead of time or claimed after the fact. Scanning it writes an arrival — a time and a place — that the institution can audit later.
It is evidence that an arrival event happened at a specific minute. It is not a warranty about anything before or after that moment, and we do not describe it as one.
What we will not do with your data
We do not sell personal data to advertisers or to data brokers. That has been the rule since the first AIKO app shipped, and it is not a plan we intend to revisit.
- We do not build advertising profiles from where you have travelled.
- We do not share trip history with third parties for marketing.
- We do not use the contents of your AIKO app creations to identify you to anyone else.
- We do use service providers for payments, mapping, messaging and hosting; they act on our instructions and may only use the data to deliver that service to us.
What you can ask us for
- A copy of the data held about you.
- A correction to anything inaccurate in your account or driver record.
- Deletion of your account and its data, except where law requires us to keep it.
- Location permission revoked in your device settings at any time — some features stop working without it, and nothing else changes.
Questions people ask
How does AIKO verify drivers?
Every driver on Aero Squad is verified before a first institutional trip: Aadhaar, driving licence and vehicle registration are checked and held against the driver record, and re-checked when a document expires.
Who can see where I am during a trip?
The driver, and anyone you share the trip with. On Aero Squad, the parent, ward desk or administrator responsible for that route sees the same live position the operator does. On the public Aero network you choose who to share a trip with, and they do not need an account to view it.
Does AIKO sell user data?
No. AIKO does not sell personal data to advertisers or to data brokers, and does not build advertising profiles from where people have travelled. That has been the rule since the first AIKO app shipped.
What is Gate-Seal and what does it prove?
Gate-Seal is a rotating, time-based code shown at the gate on arrival. Scanning it writes an auditable arrival record with a time and a place. It proves the arrival event happened at that minute; it is not a warranty about anything before or after it.
